Caregiver burnout and lack of support

I want to be able to easily access the health history of my patients, communicate readily with patients and their care providers (both families and formal support systems), and I want to be able to direct my patients to the supports they need without facing access barriers- whether it be cost, administration, or geography.

Furthermore, there needs to be a focus on how we can include seniors in our society, and how to avoid isolating and institutionalizing people in their later years. Every federal Cabinet minister should be aware of how their policies influence seniors - from transport, Veteran's affairs, status of women, Indigenous affairs, heritage and so on - seniors are a vibrant component of our society and we can put our health resources to best use when we create an environment that supports the inclusion of older adults.
